Connectivity

Network Lighting's control system interfaces with security systems through:

• contact input from the security system controller.
Typically, a low voltage relay output from the security system controller connects to one of the ten inputs on a CIS (Contact Input Station) or one of the two inputs available on the back of a standard keypad. The system can easily be programmed to activate lights or other system components when this input is received.

• output to alarm controllers via the LVRS (Low Voltage Relay Station).
This output signal can be an event programmed into a lighting scene. For example, when leaving home for the evening, an AWAY button can send a contact closure to the alarm panel, activating the alarm system.

• RS-232 serial interfaces.
Our control system can easily connect to many security systems via the auxiliary RS-232 port on the Master Controller and communicate with the alarm controller. This system has a series of RS-232 commands, called V Commands, that allow third-party products to control the system.
